When a group of creatives you admire asks you to come in and model for them in exchange for pizza, as they did a couple of months ago, the answer is really a no-brainer. While I hardly consider myself a pundit of local hairstylists (I tend to take a do-it-yourself approach with my hair), Melrose & McQueen is one of the most inspirational salons I've encountered, as they place a major focus on hair education and the pursuit of the most cutting edge styles. Of course, I jumped at the opportunity to have their hands in my hair; the resulting avant-garde looks are some of my favorite to date. If you're in Atlanta (Inman Park, to be exact), be on the lookout for the new salon on which they've been hard at work; I had the opportunity to model for the lookbook, and I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product.
