One of the best parts about dressing in the fall is the ability to layer up and play with proportions, and I'm loving the trend of layering dresses over pants this season. In this particular look, the high slits of the shirt-dress and the holes in the knees of the jeans offer a little edge. Clearly, I play favorites when it comes to accessories, and this outfit contains them all. Having a worn-in leather jacket, a sleek carry-all, and a pair of sexy yet functional ankle booties in your wardrobe makes looking put-together a breeze; I highly suggest finding versions of your own for no-brainer dressing.

I wore this ensemble for a walk to get coffee (and accidentally shop a little) with a dear friend. The way the leaves are changing makes my neighborhood look like a fall wonderland, and I can't get enough of those dreamy leaves.
